Need advice on a tricky situation? If you’re anything like me, you reach for a tarot or oracle deck.
But sometimes the images on the cards don’t resonate. And perhaps the guide book’s message doesn’t feel relevant to the situation. You have your reading… and more questions than you had before you started.
If only the right cards had come up — the ones that correspond directly to your situation and speak your language.
There are plenty of tarot and oracle decks out there, not to mention other divinatory tools like runes, pendulums, and charms. And some divination practices don’t require these objects at all. Methods like scrying with a mirror, a bowl of water, or the flame of a candle can also provide answers, if you know how to decipher them.
With divination, the possibilities are endless — and so is your ability to tap into your subconscious and your innate wisdom.
But if store-bought oracle decks and traditional divinatory methods aren’t cutting it for you anymore, maybe it’s time to get creative.
Maybe it’s time for you to become your own oracle.
Over a year ago, I taught a workshop (in Crimson Minx’s Minx + Muse Multiverse) on how to create your own oracle system. In addition to creating physical (and digital) oracle cards, I also showed how I’ve used everyday objects — from thrift store trinkets to Girl Scout merit badges — to channel divinatory messages for myself and for other people.
While I love the idea of hosting more workshops, it’s not the most accessible way to share my process.
Introducing Cardcraft — the art witch’s guide to creating unconventional oracles
Whether you’re a divination novice or a seasoned card reader, this zine will help you channel the messages you need and inspire your inner artist to create and customize your very own oracle system.
In the pages of Cardcraft, you’ll learn about the different themes, materials, symbols, magickal correspondences, and even physical objects that you can incorporate into your unique divination tools. Plus I share nearly a decade’s worth of oracle projects I’ve created for myself and others!

Are you ready to be your own oracle? Let’s get crafting!
Cardcraft is available in my shop and pay-what-you-wish. The price listed is suggested; you can pay any amount (even $0)!
(My other recent zine Mercury Magick — put together after another Minx + Muse workshop I led this year — is also currently pay-what-you-wish.)
I want my work to be accessible. If you see anything else in my shop that would help you but don’t have the funds for it, reach out and I’m happy to offer it to you at no charge. And if you have a bit to spare, you can also use code FRIEND50 for 50% off as my thanks for being here.
I’d love to know what you plan to create. Comment below to share how you plan to become your own oracle!
